I am compensated through commissions paid by our cruise and travel partners. This allows me to provide my professional research and project management expertise to you at no additional cost. Because I am an independent consultant, my loyalty remains with you; I am incentivized to find the line and itinerary that best fits your goals, ensuring you receive the same (or sometimes better) pricing and perks than booking directly.
Anyone can click a "book now" button, but my goal as a Travel Advisor, with Wavebound Travel, is to make sure you are booking the right experience for your specific goals. I do the legwork that isn't always easy to do on a standard website—like comparing cabin layouts, identifying the best deck locations, and timing your booking to get the most value.
Once your trip is on the books, I remain your dedicated point person. Instead of you spending your afternoon waiting on hold with a cruise line to handle paperwork or a simple itinerary update, I take care of those administrative details for you. I’m here to simplify the process and act as your advocate, ensuring your experience is as seamless as possible from start to finish.

Travel Consultant vs. Booking Direct: The Hidden Cost of DIY(/post/travel-consultant-vs-booking-direct-the-hidden-costs-of-diy)
Absolutely! Even if you’ve done the heavy lifting of choosing your voyage, bringing Wavebound Travel into the mix is like adding a free 'VIP' layer to your booking. Here is why my clients still have me handle the final step:
• The Same Price (Or Better): I have access to exclusive group rates and 'hidden' promotions that aren’t always visible on the big public websites. I’ll double-check to make sure you’re getting the absolute best deal available.
• Extra Perks: Because of my industry partnerships, I can often add 'extras' like onboard credit, specialty dining vouchers, or stateroom upgrades that you won’t get by booking direct.
• Expert Logistics: I don’t just book the room; I look at the deck plans. I’ll make sure you aren’t under a noisy nightclub or next to a high-traffic elevator.
• Your Personal Advocate: If changes are needed, or questions need answers,, you have me to fix it. You avoid the 1-800 hold music and get a direct line to someone who knows your name.
The short answer? You get a person, not a portal. When you book with a big agency, you’re often just a number in a queue. At Wavebound Travel, you’re a traveler with specific dreams. If you have a question or need a change, you don’t have to wait on hold for three hours with a call center—you just contact me. I’m your advocate from the moment we start planning until you’re back home.
I believe the best vacations are built on a foundation of great conversation and thoughtful research. To make sure I create a trip you’ll love, I follow a simple, personalized approach:
• Getting to Know You: We’ll start with a quick "Discovery" chat or form. This is where you tell me about your vision for the trip—what you love, what you’d rather avoid, and what "perfect" looks like to you.
• The Inside Track: Using my years of research experience and my global network of partners, I’ll dive into the details for you. I’ll compare ships, help you pick the best cabin locations, and find those special "perks" that aren't always visible to the public.
• The Perfect Fit: Once we’ve narrowed down the best options, I’ll take care of all the booking details and paperwork. I’ll also help you coordinate the "before and after," like finding a wonderful hotel for an extra night at your departure port or helping you navigate the flight options offered by the cruise line.
• Your Advocate: From the moment you book until you’re back home, I’m here as your dedicated point person. If you have questions or need a hand with your reservation, you just have to reach out to me instead of waiting on hold with a call center.
In many cases, yes. If you booked directly with a cruise line recently—typically within the last 30 days—and haven’t yet paid in full, I can often transfer the management of that booking to my care. This allows you to keep your exact cabin and price while gaining my oversight for the rest of the journey. Since every cruise line has a different window for these transfers, simply reach out and I can let you know if your trip is eligible.
I believe your vacation should feel like one seamless journey, from the moment you leave your front door until you return home. While my primary focus is on the cruise itself, I am here to help you coordinate the "land-side" details that make your trip easy and stress-free.
• Flights: I do not book independent air travel; however, many cruise lines have their own air programs that I can help you explore. These programs often come with arrival protections that can be beneficial, and I’m happy to help you navigate those options to see if they are a good fit for your specific plans.
• Hotels: Many cruise lines offer convenient hotel add-ons before or after your sailing. Additionally, I can independently research and book a hotel for you if you’d like a more customized stay.
Protecting your investment and your health is a vital part of my planning process. Most domestic health insurance (including Medicare) does not cover medical expenses in international waters, and the cost of an emergency medical evacuation at sea can be significant.
I help my clients navigate a variety of reputable protection options—including modern providers like Faye—to find the right fit for their comfort level. To ensure you get the most comprehensive benefits (like the Pre-Existing Condition Waiver), I recommend securing your policy within 14 days of your initial trip deposit.

Absolutely! I love helping groups get away together. Whether you are planning a milestone family reunion, a fun girls’ trip, or a professional retreat, I specialize in making the process feel easy for everyone. I use my experience in managing big, moving parts to take the stress off your shoulders. I’ll handle the coordination and the individual needs of each guest so that instead of being the "organizer," you can simply focus on enjoying the journey with your group.
Virgin Voyages' official policy requires a valid passport with an expiration date at least 6 months after the voyage end date (through March 2027 for this sailing).
However, Virgin Voyages makes an exception for closed-loop voyages departing from New York, Miami, Los Angeles, or Seattle for U.S. citizens who don't have sufficient time to obtain a passport.
My Professional Recommendation: Even though Virgin allows alternative documents for this closed-loop cruise, I strongly recommend obtaining a passport book because:
• In the event of a medical emergency or unexpected departure from the vessel, a passport will be necessary
• If you need to fly home from a Canadian port, alternative documents won't work for air travel
• If you miss the ship and need to fly to the next port, you'll need a passport
• A passport book opens up future cruise opportunities worldwide
